Butch Harmon School of Golf
Butch Harmon has been involved in the golf arena for over 42 years. His father, Claude Harmon, a renowned club and teaching professional and 1948 Masters Champion, introduced him to the game.
Harmon followed in his father's footsteps by becoming an accomplished player on the PGA TOUR in the early 1970's. In 1971 his final year on the PGA TOUR, Harmon won the B.C. Open.
Currently, Harmon is the President of Butch Harmon School of Golf in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he travels around the country playing in corporate and charity golf outings.
Harmon is a leading analyst for British Sky Broadcasting which covers the Masters, U.S. Open, PGA Championship and TOUR Championship. He was named the 1995 Sports Illustrated Teacher of the Year. Additionally Harmon has been a teaching instructor to several PGA TOUR pros, including Tiger Woods, Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Darren Clarke, Fred Couples, Adam Scott, Justin Leonard, and Mark Calcavecchia. Mr. Harmon's students have combined for over 100 PGA, European PGA and Champions Tour victories while under his tutelage.
Since the instruction is so individualized, it can work for players such as Tiger Woods, Darren Clarke and Mark Calcavecchia - all of whom have very different swings. It can also work for any amateur, at any age or level of ability, who is serious about improving his or her golf game.

27 GREAT HOLES
Black Mountain offers three distinct 9-hole courses offering a perfect 18-hole combination to challenge golfers of all playing abilities.
Founders are the original nine holes built in 1957 by Bob Baldock under the guidance of the "Founding Fathers". The course is the third oldest in the Las Vegas Valley and present many challenges to golfers of all skill levels. The opening three holes, Black Mountain's "Amen Corner," will test the best players' skills. The par 4, second hole, measures 430 yards from the back tees, and history shows with the prevailing headwind, it plays much longer. The par 3, third hole, plays 188 yards to a small heavily bunkered green with treacherous undulations to complete the 3-hole challenge.
Horizon opened in June of 1963 and was designed by Bob Baldock and Superintendent Ira Cluff to complete the original 18 holes. The Horizon nine is more open than the original nine holes with well-bunkered greens. The par 5, fourth hole, plays 544 yards, with out of bounds left and desert right, placing a premium on accuracy on the tee shot. The green is guarded both left and right by bunkers and a water hazard right of the green requires a strategic second shot lay-up. This nine holes offer several birdie opportunities and the chance for a player to score well.

Highland Falls Golf Club
Welcome to one of Vegas best-kept secrets: Highland Falls Golf Course.
From start to finish, players will find this course challenging and playable. The Greg Nash/Billy Casper designed course lays just 6,512 yards from the tips, but it does so beautifully.
A courteous staff, wide practice facility and a large putting area allows players plenty of space to warm up before the round.
The course opens with a 521-yard, par-5 that is reachable in two for longer hitters. But, bunkers around the green will catch errant shots to players placing a premium on accuracy.
While there are challenges galore here, two holes will really test players. One is the par-3 14th. Playing 206 yards from the tips the tee shot will drop some 50 feet to the green below. In the background is a stunning view of the famed Las Vegas Strip.
The two finishing holes offer quite the 1-2 punch. The par-3 17th is just 168 yards from the tips, but water right and a huge bunker left are intimidating. The finale, the par-4 18th, plays just 387 yards but water down the right side and bunkers on the left will force players to be exact off the tee as well as with approach shots. Bunkers left of the green and the lake to the right make for an exciting finish to a great round on an impressive course.

Overall, Highland Falls is a solid test of golf and one you'll be back to challenge again.

Silverstone Golf Club
Robert Cupp has created a unique 27-hole design that is uncommon to golf in the Las Vegas Valley, Silverstone is a "must play" for Las Vegas golf. These links-style courses have taken a relatively flat layout and created something spectacular. The course plays Ryegrass fairways and Bentgrass greens year-around. The facility comes complete with a large driving range, putting green and short game area.
Boasting as the longest hole in the entire city, and the number one handicap hole, the Mountain course hole number three is a par-5 stretching 653 yards from the tips. With out of bound to the right and left and with a menacing lake scooping up shots from the roughly 120 yards to the green and in, makes this hole even more difficult. Sometimes the pin is tucked back left making your approach shot extremely tough and Challenging.
Silverstone Golf Club is located 20-25 minutes form the Las Vegas Strip. With a beautiful 34,000 square foot Mediterranean Villa designed clubhouse, with panoramic views of the golf course and mountain ranges.
The amenities are plentiful,a full-service grill and restaurant, a banquet facility able to serve up to 500 guests, valet services, men's and women's locker rooms,the golf shop carries an array of stylish apparel, and accessories, and home of the Silverstone Golf Academy,nothing is left to be desired.

Palm Valley Golf Club
This Billy Casper/Greg Nash layout was the first course opened in the Golf Summerlin group (along with Highland Falls and Eagle Crest), welcoming golfers in 1989.
The course measures 6,580 yards from the tips and will challenge even the best players in your foursome.
hile the par 5s give players plenty of chances for circles on the scorecard with birdies and eagles, it's the par 3s that provide the stiffest challenges. Ranging in length from 177 yards (the third hole) to a knee-knocking 229 yards (the 16th), these four will test players to pull the right club. Here's a hint for playing these tough holes: Leave your ego the door. Just because Tiger can get there with a 4-iron doesn't mean you can. Go ahead and hit that hybrid or even that 3-wood. And if you're hitting 3-wood, chances are you should be up a set of tees.
The finishing hole here is another par-5 that will give players a chance to end the round strong. At 534 yards, getting home in two is possible. But beware. Water guards this hole on the right side from tee to green and there's out of bounds left. So take a club you've got confidence in and find the fairway. Great bunkering around the green will also grab errant shots so a layout shot might be just what the doctored ordered—and might help you get that birdie finish.
